Why can't I just use a computer translation service as for example the one on altavista.com?

In principle yes, but a translation like that is very often of a very poor quality. Frequently the text is difficult to read, impossible to understand or misleading. Especially a translation into Russian cannot be recommended, because you can't check the text after the translation if you don't know Russian. Furthermore only English is supported on the most websites.

How is ONEGA pronounced in Russian?
